EAN Photo Contest 2026

The EPIET Alumni Network (EAN) is organising a photo contest open to all conference attendees.

Photo submissions are exhibited during the ESCAIDE conference. All attendees, both in person and online, are invited to submit up to two photographs and vote for the best photo.

Therefore, you should submit a photo if during your adventurous life as epidemiologist, microbiologist or public health expert:

  • you came across a situation, a landscape, a character, an unusual and memorable ‘something’ related to public health;
  • you took a picture that can represent and depict one of the many facets of the life in the field and/or in the lab;
  • and you want to share your memories and emotions with those who can grasp their meaning.

Submission and deadline

Send your photograph(s) together with the accompanying information and consent form (see above) via email (subject title: “ESCAIDE 2026 EAN Photo Contest”) to eanboardatgmail [dot] com (eanboard[at]gmail[dot]com) by 8 November 2026.

Photo exhibition

Photo submissions will be displayed on screens around the conference venue and on the EAN Photo Contest page of the ESCAIDE conference platform, hosted on Swapcard. All registered participants will receive an invitation to access Swapcard before the conference starts.

Voting

Voting is open from Wednesday 18 November, until 13.30 CET on Friday 20 November. Voting will be done through a poll in Slido (link available on the page in Swapcard), each participant can vote for one photo each and should only submit the poll once.

Results

The winner will be announced by EAN in the closing ceremony of ESCAIDE.
