Abstract presentations at ESCAIDE
ESCAIDE gives researchers an opportunity to present their work to public health professionals from Europe and around the globe through abstract presentations. This allows researchers to share experiences and knowledge that can benefit the whole public health community and beyond.
The standard call for abstracts for ESCAIDE 2026 has now closed, and decisions of the selection process are now available on the abstract submission platform. Accepted abstracts will be included in the ESCAIDE 2026 programme as part of Fireside sessions (for oral presentations) and Poster tours (for poster presentations). Guidelines for presenters are now available below.
The standard call for abstracts for ESCAIDE 2026 welcomed abstracts in all areas applied to infectious disease and public health. These areas included epidemiology, microbiology, virology, immunology, social sciences, science communication, the application of tools and methods to support infectious disease interventions and more. We encouraged submissions that inform public health actions, introduce new ideas, and bring new understandings to the field. Funding opportunities are available to for eligible presenters of accepted abstracts to attend the conference in person, through the ESCAIDE Funding Initiative.
All submitted abstracts have undergone a thorough, independent peer-review process, in which three experts evaluated their scientific quality and public health relevance. Learn more about the review and selection process in the Guidelines for abstract review and selection.
