ESCAIDE 2024 call for abstracts open until 15 May

news

The standard call for abstracts for ESCAIDE 2024 is now open and will close on 15 May (23:59 CEST). We encourage submissions that inform public health actions, introduce new ideas, and bring new understandings to the field of infectious diseases.

We welcome abstracts in all areas applied to infectious disease and public health, including microbiology, virology, immunology, social sciences, science communication, the application of tools and methods to support infectious disease interventions and more. Abstracts presented at previous editions of ESCAIDE can be found in the Abstract books on our website.

Abstracts must be submitted by 15 May on the dedicated abstract platform. They will then be reviewed by a pool of experts, and notifications of acceptance (either as oral or poster presentations) or rejection will be sent to authors by June 28. A second call for late breaker abstracts will be held from September 12-23.

Submitting an abstract to ESCAIDE 2024 provides an unparalleled opportunity to showcase your work at a vibrant and eagerly awaited conference, where you can connect with an international audience of public health professionals and researchers. To ensure your abstract meets the selection criteria, read both the Guidelines for abstract submission and Guidelines for abstract review and selection before submitting your abstract.

There will be no registrations fees for ESCAIDE 2024, and similar to previous years, we are also pleased to offer the ESCAIDE Funding Initiative, which covers the travel and accommodation costs for selected abstract presenters from the EU/EEA. Please read the eligibility criteria and indicate your interest in being considered for the Funding Initiative when submitting your abstract.
