news

The European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Stockholm, Sweden, 23/11/2022-25/11/2022 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 17 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spent in the educational activity.

  • Day 1, Weds 23 November 2022 - 6.00
  • Day 2, Thurs 24 November 2022 - 6.00
  • Day 3, Fri 25 November 2022 - 5.00

The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 1 ECMEC® for one hour of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day.

How to claim CME credits

To request the certificate and claim CME credits, ESCAIDE participants will need to attend the sessions during the conference days (online or in-person) and answer the end-of-conference feedback survey. The survey was sent to participants by email and is available on the Swapcard platform. It is open until 7 December (23:59 CET).

According to EACCME requirements, the attendance will be checked and a personalised certificate with the number of session hours attended during the conference days will then be sent to requesters via email.

Information for medical specialists from the US and Canada

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
